Death Note
* The human whose name is written in this note shall die.
* This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.
* If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject's name, it will happen.
* If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack.
* After writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds (400 seconds).
Death Note follows a young student by the name of Yagami Light. He is an extremely intelligent, but bored, young man who, one day, accidently comes across a book entitled Death Note. When Light discovers what the book can do, he decides to use it to rid the world of evil alongside the original owner of the book, Ryuk, a Shinigami(Death God). He starts to write the names of criminals who didn't receive the punishment they deserved and eventually attracts the attention of the police. When this information goes global, everyone around the world either chose to hate him or love him for what he was doing and henceforth, he became known as Kira. The head of the investigation into Kira is a world renowned detective known simply as L.
L proves he is a worthy adversary to Kira and the battle begins to find Kira and bring him to justice or to find L and put his name in the Death Note.
About Me
I'll talk about myself once I know I can trust you, but for now:
I believe in a 'greater good' though these aren't my words, they are rather the words most others would go by in order to explain an opinion. You see 'good' is merely a word, a point of view, and not a worldly law. The same goes for the opinion of 'bad' or 'evil'. People may believe they are doing 'good', whereas others might see it as 'bad'. Therefore, I don't acknowledge these words in the description of my goals. Obviously I am not Yagami Light, this is merely an alias. But I am a great believer in what he tried to do, whether others would say "it's just an Anime". I'm even sure the writers and creators of Death Note would say this. I want to make it clear now that I have not been influenced or my opinions changed because of this anime, I've always possessed these views and am glad that recently many shows have contained this viewpoint of 'Punish the Evil'(my description of 'Evil' in this sense would be *Murderers(for fun or self gratification), Rapists, Paedophiles, etc*. An example of one of these shows would be Dexter, whose popularity is through the roof. Death Note also seems to be the most popular anime on this website. This gives me great hope for the future and I hope people won't just say they liked shows like Dexter and animes like Death Note because of the show and not the message of the main character, because by now we all should know that TV and movies have an affect on our views, if we hadn't already thought of them. Of course the influence of this is not an excuse to act unlawfully, it is actually a stepping stone to a clear and broad perspective. You then subsequently choose how you should act in life but make sure you understand this choice and it's consequences
Those of you who share these views may add me as a friend if you wish, but to those of you who don't, commenting rude and angry notes on my page is only serving to strengthen my view that "We are not all free to express our views in this world". I am willing to debate my views with those who disagree but I will not respond to cursing or ignorance. I am here to do justice, not be involved in petty squabling.
